Divers from Club “Friends of the Sea” will clean the seabed near Burgas Bridge. The bridge is one of the city’s landmarks and favorite place for walking and fishing. The cleaning will start on 02.06.218 at 09:00 and will continue until 12:00.
The exhibition will present ten 3D models of sunken ships, as they were found on the bottom of the Black Sea, interesting artifacts found in the latest sea bed surveys and curious information about them. An interactive map of the Black Sea bottom with wrecks, will provide visitors with detailed information about sunken ships or missing settlements.
Children will be able to construct models of wooden ships. The mock-ups are copies of ships found in the last underwater archaeological expeditions in the Black Sea. The children will be able to assemble and disassemble them according to drawingс and photoс, accompanied by information about the ship and the time it sailed. The game “Underwater archaeologists” will be related to exploring the hidden secrets of the Black Sea. For this purpose, children will use a periscope equipped with virtual reality glasses and video footage of the underwater archaeological expedition. The installation will allow participants to “explore” the bottom of the sea, discovering sunken objects. The “Marine Researchers” Exposition will be linked to research studies and demonstrations how underwater archaeological expeditions are made.
Bulgarian and foreign scientists will present the latest developments on the topic of archaeological research and discoveries in the Black Sea.
The alleys in the Sea Garden will present an exhibition of posters with the latest achievements of archeology in Bulgaria.
